Remembrance Day

The 11th day of the 11th month, to many others means nothing at all, but to myself and fellow Canadians, it's Remembrance Day.  We take advantage of this day to remember those who may have been long since forgotten otherwise.  I can't explain what I don't understand, such as why a terrible thing like war had to happen various times to our country and others and why thousands of innocent men had to pay the ultimate price for it.  One day out of the year really isn't enough to consider the luck we have to live in the world we do thanks to those men, imperfect as it may be.  But this day is special, because their memory is not just a side note in the back of our minds, or a brief realization.  On this day it's the focus of an entire nation, the best nation.  Cheers Canada!

Todays Date: Movember 1st

To satisfy ignorant curiosities, no I did not make a spelling mistake.  I know the actual date is November first, but I'm using something of a play on words, or a "pun" if you will.  You see Movember is a word created from combining the word "November," and the word "mustache."  It's very clever I know, sadly I can not take credit though.  The meaning of Movember is for myself and fellow man alike, to go the month of November without shaving their mustache.  Oh, and it's Movember, not no-shave November. No beards. No goatee's.  The point of Movember is not simply about mustaches, it is about growing your mustache for prostate cancer awareness, and for mens health everywhere, because were men, we wear mustaches, not ribbons.  To those of you can't handle Movember because you don't like mustaches, or think it will hurt your chances with the ladies, well perhaps your just a nancy-boy.  Rather than doubting yourself, you could look at this as an opportunity to give out free mustache rides all month long.
